More savings from Screwfix – drill bits, drill sets and wood screws

Trade and DIY supplier Screwfix has been in touch with some of the better deals on offer at the moment in its tools section.

Apart from the Makita BHP453RFX 18V Li-Ion combi drill that it’s been pushing for months (£100 off, if you’re interested and haven’t bought yours by now), it’s got a few items worth a closer look.

First up is the 99-piece Titan assorted drill bit set, a great value set for general use that includes HSS, masonry and wood drill bits, plus hole saws. Previously at £19.98, it’s now cut by half to £9.99.

Then there’s £200 off a combination of DeWalt items – drill driver, angle grinder and fluorescent light. Previously at £419.99, they’re now available for £219.99. Just for good measure, there’s also a carry bag, one-hour charger and a 109-piece drill and screwdriver bit set thrown in.

Next, £36.99 (reduced from £52.99) will get you this builders’ trade case of Goldscrew Plus wood screws, frame fixings and wallplugs. Usuable in softwood, hardwood and chipboard alike, they’re wax coated for faster driving and their razor-sharp tips mean you shouldn’t need to bother with a pilot hole.

Finally, another 18V Makita combi drill – this time the 8391DWPETK, with 101 piece accessory kit, half price at £119.99 instead of £239.99. It comes supplied with two batteries plus charger and carry case, a selection of drill and screwdriver bits, and various other useful items such as a countersink and a level.

It’s also always worth taking a look at the web exclusive clearance store, just to see what else is reduced.
